Our Vision Statement

Based on God’s word: Acts 1:8

“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

From this verse we will focus on the word POWER:

P = Prayer and Worship

O = Outreach to the surrounding community

W = Witness for Christ

E = Equip Believers

R = Repeat the process

Beginning with Prayer, Worship, and the help of The Holy Spirit, Victory Baptist Chapel endeavors to conduct community Outreach, Witness for Christ, and Equip new believers so that they may Repeat the process of the great commission.

Our Beliefs

We believe in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

We believe that God is the Creator of Heaven & Earth.

We believe that all have sinned & fall short of the glory of God.

We believe that Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son, was sent to be a sacrifice for the sins of the world.

We believe that salvation is not earned, but rather it comes through God’s grace when we place our faith in Jesus Christ.

Leadership

Senior Pastor

Murray Stafford

Murray Stafford has served in many ministry leadership roles over the last 20 years. In 2009 Murray was ordained into the Gospel Ministry and was called to serve as the Senior Pastor of Victory Baptist Chapel. He and his wife Marcia married in 1990 and they have three children and three grandchildren. Murray is also a Science teacher and Assistant Band Director at Barnesville High School located in Barnesville, Ohio where he has taught for over 30+ years.

In addition to his Science Degrees Murray also has continued education from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and a certificate of Biblical Teaching & Preaching through the Upper Ohio Valley Baptist Association.

Murray in his spare time enjoys playing the piano and storm chasing of which he provides weather forecast to the local Ohio Valley area via social media and pateron.
